Position Overview:

Dataiku is seeking highly motivated engineers to design, scale, and maintain its internal and customer-facing infrastructures. The role involves updating, scaling, and maintaining configuration management, multi-Cloud Infrastructure as Code, and Kubernetes clusters. Additionally, responsibilities include expanding CI/CD pipelines, improving monitoring and alerting, developing automation tools for scaling, and applying cloud security best practices.

Mission: To enable customers to bring large-scale data analytics and AI technologies into a centralized and easy-to-use platform.

Technical Stack: Primarily AWS, with some Azure and GCP. Key tools include Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Python.

Expected Outcomes:

• Update, scale, and maintain the configuration management stack.
• Update and maintain the multi-Cloud Infrastructure as Code repository for monitoring, reliability, and security.
• Update, scale, and maintain Kubernetes clusters, including high availability, monitoring, and self-healing mechanisms.
• Expand and maintain CI/CD pipelines for safe and automated deployment of applications and artifacts.
• Improve existing monitoring by scaling infrastructure, collecting metrics, and managing the alerting pipeline.
• Develop automation tools to scale infrastructure and manage user identities, access control, and cloud resources.
• Apply Cloud security best practices to ensure infrastructure security and resilience.

Requirements:

• Experience with at least one configuration management tool (Chef, Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack).
• Experience with Terraform for managing Cloud resources.
• Familiarity with UNIX-like systems, troubleshooting, and shell scripting.
• Production load experience on AWS, including monitoring, high availability designs, and services like Lambda, RDS, Load Balancing, CDN, VPC.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines for efficiency and reliability.
• Experience in environments where automation is key.
• Knowledge of application development, ideally in Python.
• Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity about underlying mechanisms.
• Commitment to documenting solutions and monitoring their health with actionable alerts.
• Proactive in asking questions and treating colleagues with respect, kindness, and transparency.

Bonus Skills:

• Knowledge of the Grafana Labs monitoring stack.
• Knowledge of Web applications designs.
• Experience with Golang and JavaScript/TypeScript.
