Position Overview

Dataiku is seeking highly motivated engineers to design, scale, and maintain its internal and customer-facing infrastructures. The company's mission is to enable customers to bring large-scale data analytics and AI technologies into a centralized and easy-to-use platform. The current technical stack primarily runs on AWS, with some Azure and GCP components, utilizing tools like Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Update, scale, and maintain the configuration management stack.
• Update and maintain the multi-Cloud Infrastructure as Code repository to ensure the fleet is monitored, up-to-date, reliable, and secure.
• Update, scale, and maintain Kubernetes clusters, including adding high availability services, monitoring, and building self-healing mechanisms.
• Expand and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automatic and safe deployment of customer-facing and internal applications, as well as artifacts.
• Improve existing monitoring by scaling infrastructure, collecting additional metrics, and managing the alerting pipeline.
• Develop automation tools to scale infrastructure efficiently, focusing on propagating user identities, access control, and better management of Cloud resources.
• Apply Cloud security best practices to ensure infrastructure security and resilience.

Requirements

• Experience with at least one configuration management tool (e.g., Chef, Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack).
• Experience with Terraform for managing Cloud resources.
• Familiarity with UNIX-like systems, including troubleshooting experience and shell scripting knowledge.
• Experience running production loads on AWS, including monitoring, high availability designs, and services like Lambda, RDS, Load Balancing, CDN, and VPC.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines to optimize engineering time and increase deployment reliability.
• Experience working in automation-centric environments.
• Knowledge of application development, preferably in Python.
• A passion for solving technical problems and understanding how things work at a fundamental level.
• Commitment to documenting implemented solutions and monitoring their health through actionable alerts.
• A proactive approach to asking questions and treating colleagues with respect, kindness, and transparency.

Bonus Skills

• Knowledge of the Grafana Labs monitoring stack.
• Knowledge of Web application designs.
• Some experience with Golang and JavaScript/TypeScript languages.
