Requirements

Passionate and committed to reimagining pediatric health care for children with complex medical conditions
Deep understanding and experience with cloud-based services, service design patterns, data structures, data integrations
Collaborative, client-friendly approach to API design
Experience with modern technologies (NodeJS/Typescript or similar languages, AWS, Terraform, React)
Strong understanding and value for all layers of a production system including data, internal and third-party integrations, testing, and user-facing clients
Familiarity with AWS infrastructure
Experience building highly scalable and performant backend services (strongly preferred)
Experience working in a fast-paced, hypergrowth, collaborative environment
Experience in healthcare / virtual care (preferred), FHIR experience a bonus
Understanding of web/mobile use cases and willingness to jump into different parts of the stack when needed

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain backend applications, microservices, and APIs that enable high scalability and performance
Implement third-party integrations and external APIs to enhance the platform’s capabilities
Ensure backend systems are secure, well-documented, and thoroughly tested
Develop, test, and deliver client-facing, production-ready features
Collaborate in a cross-disciplinary, remote Product Engineering team
Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
Communicate with business stakeholders to understand goals and translate them to technical architecture and requirements
Adopt a collaborative, data-driven, and iterative approach to building products
Estimate product scope and timelines
Jump in to work on various parts of the stack as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
