Candidates should have experience with Ruby or Ruby on Rails, and experience working with Javascript or JS frameworks such as React, Vue, AngularJS, or Next. A strong understanding of CSS frameworks like Bootstrap and CSS preprocessors is required, along with experience writing tests and understanding design patterns and clean code. Experience mentoring or coaching junior engineers is also expected. Bonus points for experience scaling high-scale web applications, working in e-commerce or health-tech, or with Stripe or other payment providers, as well as React and GraphQL.
The Senior Fullstack Developer will take ownership of building, shipping, testing, deploying, and maintaining checkout iterations and implementing business logic within the e-commerce platform core. They will build scalable frontend and backend applications, review pull requests, mentor junior developers, and advocate for high-quality code. The role involves scoping and planning projects, collaborating with other developers, providing input on high-level architecture decisions, and solving performance issues within checkout and payment systems.
