Senior Full Stack Engineer

Position Overview

Calendly is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our innovative Engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to bring deep technical know-how, architectural wisdom, and enthusiasm to a team focused on making things possible for our customers through innovation. You will report to an Engineering Manager and be responsible for supporting features and architecture designed to maintain user confidence in Calendly.

About the Team & Opportunity

Working on Calendly's Engineering team means contributing to a platform used by millions, known for its best-in-class quality. We are in the process of decomposing our monolith into various services to scale our platform and team. We need ambitious, experienced engineers to help drive this growth. You will build new features, scale our platform and architecture, and develop tooling and automation to refine our delivery process. You will have the opportunity to work with technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, Rails, NodeJS, React, PostgreSQL, and Redis.

A Day in the Life of a Senior Full Stack Engineer

• Collaborate within your team to build new features for high-impact enterprise customers.
• Contribute to platform scaling initiatives.
• Meet regularly with Product and Design to refine requirements.
• Attend agile ceremonies to plan and execute team work.
• Work across squads to improve Engineering practices at Calendly.
• Review implementation plans and pull requests from peers.
• Mentor and coach other team members.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Software Development experience at a SaaS or technology company.
• Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) / microservices.
• Experience with a Monolith to Services architectural rebuild.
• Experience with Rails, Node, or a comparable web-app development framework.
• A drive to craft clean, reliable, and maintainable code.
• Availability for on-call rotation to respond to business-critical alerts outside of regular working hours.
• Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America (Calendly does not currently engage in immigration sponsorship).
