Software Engineer - Sensing Platform

Position Overview

Vannevar Labs is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our sensing team. This role involves building and delivering a best-in-class platform for managing, operating, and deploying physical sensors. You will be part of a cross-functional team, contributing to critical product features and the overall direction of the platform.

Responsibilities

• Build applications for managing and configuring physical sensors remotely.
• Create pipelines for integrating sensor data into downstream products and external systems.
• Develop novel test infrastructure for various systems, including on-target and backend software.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify, develop, and own critical capabilities for our sensing platform.
• Travel up to 20% of the time to meet with mission owners, understand requirements, and deliver capabilities.

Qualifications (Must Haves)

• 4+ years of experience in software development using a general-purpose programming language.
• Proven experience owning features end-to-end, including development, testing, and release.
• Experience with React and JavaScript development.
• Experience with various relational and non-relational database systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. resident or citizen.

Qualifications (Nice to Haves)

• Experience with embedded systems.
• Experience with software-defined radio.
