Candidates should have 5+ years of experience as a frontend/UI engineer with some backend exposure and a proven track record of shipping high-quality features to production. Proficiency in React, Next.js, modern CSS patterns, JavaScript, and TypeScript is essential, along with comfort using testing frameworks like Jest, Playwright, Cypress, or Mocha. A deep understanding of architecting scalable, maintainable interfaces and prioritizing web accessibility is also required.
The Senior Frontend Engineer will build performant, accessible, and scalable user interfaces using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Jest, Storybook, and Webflow’s Spring Design System. They will own features end-to-end from design handoff through launch and iteration, partnering closely with design, product, and engineering teams. Responsibilities include driving improvements to the frontend and backend codebase, introducing best practices around accessibility, performance, maintainability, and scalability, and troubleshooting production issues. Additionally, they will mentor junior engineers and stay current with emerging frontend frameworks and tooling.
