Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and have at least 8 years of experience in firmware development, with a strong focus on wireless radio applications. They should have experience with firmware/software development for wireless technologies, including cellular systems, and a solid understanding of SoC architectures. Strong skills in C/C++ programming are essential, along with experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

The Senior Firmware Engineer will collaborate with System Engineering teams to translate system-level requirements into optimal firmware architecture, focusing on performance, modularity, security, and scalability. They will also work with Hardware and FPGA teams to define firmware specifications, support board design, and integrate firmware into state-of-the-art SoC solutions. The role involves developing, optimizing, and maintaining firmware and software across JMA Radio product lines, creating and executing test and verification frameworks, and collaborating with Radio Integration Teams to develop test cases and plans. Furthermore, the engineer will define branching strategies, maintain deployment pipelines, and contribute to JIRA/Scrum meetings, providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members, and creating detailed documentation for firmware architecture and design.
