Requirements

  • International Compliance Association Financial Crime qualification, or equivalent professional qualification
  • Proven track record and experience in the application and completion of financial crime controls in investment and asset management (or other financial sectors such as Finance, Banking, or Insurance)
  • Good knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering, Fraud, and broader Financial Crime regulations
  • Track record in and good knowledge of Financial Crime processes including Customer Due Diligence, Transaction Monitoring, Politically Exposed Person, Sanction, State Owned Company, and Special Interest Screening
  • Proven track record of using multiple financial crime systems, due diligence/screening tools, and third-party data providers to complete customer due diligence
  • Practical financial crime experience or transferable skills such as a Legal or Risk background
  • Broad experience working with Corporate and Retail clients across the Investment, Insurance, Finance, or Banking sectors
  • Expert knowledge of Fraud, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and wider financial crime regulations

Responsibilities

  • Support and protect the business against financial crime through the completion of key controls and oversight activities
  • Handle responsibilities for Customer Due Diligence, financial crime screening, and governance of third-party services
  • Support the Global Financial Crime Operating Model
  • Ensure compliance with AML regulations across multiple jurisdictions and Aviva’s Financial Crime Standards
  • Provide strong analytical insight, technical support, and stakeholder engagement
  • Challenge and enhance financial crime policies
  • Embed risk considerations into decision-making
  • Deliver efficient AML processes
  • Manage control weaknesses and escalate material events appropriately
  • Support regulatory reporting compliance
  • Provide expert advice to colleagues
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing self-development
