Requirements

Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of commercial experience with PHP, relational databases (MySQL / MS SQL Server), and front-end web technologies, including experience with jQuery and other JavaScript frameworks. They should also demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate in a clear, positive, and professional manner to various levels, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and exhibit a high level of computer literacy, along with a motivation to continuously improve their knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

The Senior Engineer, Software will be responsible for defining and implementing coding standards, dictating acceptable design patterns, tools, and techniques for common operations such as caching, queuing, logging, persistence, and security within the software development lifecycle. They will also be involved in figuring out the most appropriate technological ways to implement new features and enhance existing ones, working closely with the Lead System Designer/Product Design Owner and Software Architect to continuously improve team software development activities. Furthermore, the Senior Engineer will undertake 3rd-line support tasks, diagnosing and rectifying issues on customer systems.
