Requirements

  • BS in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 5+ years of working experience in silicon development, or MS in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 3+ years of relevant working experience, or PhD with 0+ years of relevant experience in storage firmware development
  • Strong programming experience and demonstrated proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems, including development of algorithms, manipulation of complex data structures, and implementing highly optimized code
  • Relevant hands-on experience in embedded software or firmware development, including storage devices or other embedded platforms
  • Experience with ARM or equivalent embedded multi-core microprocessor architectures
  • Hands-on experience with JTAG/ICE debuggers and protocol analyzers
  • Experience with one or more of the following storage related technologies: NVM Express, PCI Express, SAS, SCSI, NAND Flash/FTL, Fibre Channel, SATA, eMMC, or UFS (beneficial)
  • Some scripting experience in one of Python/Perl/Javascript (desired)
  • Familiarity and experience with modern agile software development methodologies and practices (preferred)

  • Debug, optimize, and validate SSD firmware on complex embedded multi-core architectures
  • Support customer qualification and adoption of SSD products
  • Participate in ground-breaking advanced SSD storage development and research projects
