Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or possess an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. They should have at least three years of experience in developing, testing, and deploying native Android applications, with a strong understanding of the Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and modern architectural patterns such as MVVM or MVI. Furthermore, candidates are required to have two years of experience applying, optimizing, and deploying machine learning models specifically for edge devices, including a deep understanding of model quantization, pruning, and efficient inference techniques, and proficiency in frameworks like TensorFlow Lite, PyTorch, or Executorch.
The Senior Engineer, Android AI/ML will develop and deploy on-device machine learning models for Samsung Knox Android solutions, encompassing the entire lifecycle from design to implementation. This includes defining and implementing data preprocessing and feature engineering for machine learning algorithms with optimized performance. They will lead the design and development of innovative Android applications integrating seamlessly with Samsung Knox security features and APIs, investigate and resolve technical issues reported by customers, collaborate with testing and customer support teams, and rapidly prototype and develop proof-of-concept applications to explore new features and validate technical feasibility.
