Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or directly related field
5 to 8 years of prior relevant experience
Proficient knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
Experience with high-speed memories such as DDR3/DDR4 and high-speed digital interfaces such as PCIe 3.0/4.0, DisplayPort, USB 3.0, Ethernet
Experience with FPGAs, SoCs, firmware, and embedded software development
Familiarity with standard lab equipment – oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers
Altium experience (preferred)
Experience with military standards and hardware qualification processes such as EMI, thermal, vibration, etc
Ability to obtain a security clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship)

Responsibilities

Architect, design, develop, modify, evaluate, and integrate electronic equipment, electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for complex, high performance hardware systems
Oversee all aspects of the electrical hardware development lifecycle from requirements to design, test, integration and manufacturing
Evaluate various design approaches and use data-based methodical methods to down-select to plan-of-record design directions
Analyze electrical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
Use high level programming language to configure programmable logic devices
Analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests and evaluate results
Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability
Identify component operational characteristics that may impact system performance and/or sustainability
Contribute to proposals and estimates of budget and schedule to meet program objectives
