Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or directly related field
  • 5 to 8 years of prior relevant experience
  • Proficient knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
  • Experience with high-speed memories such as DDR3/DDR4 and high-speed digital interfaces such as PCIe 3.0/4.0, DisplayPort, USB 3.0, Ethernet
  • Experience with FPGAs, SoCs, firmware, and embedded software development
  • Familiarity with standard lab equipment – oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers
  • Altium experience (preferred)
  • Experience with military standards and hardware qualification processes such as EMI, thermal, vibration, etc
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship)

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, develop, modify, evaluate, and integrate electronic equipment, electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for complex, high performance hardware systems
  • Oversee all aspects of the electrical hardware development lifecycle from requirements to design, test, integration and manufacturing
  • Evaluate various design approaches and use data-based methodical methods to down-select to plan-of-record design directions
  • Analyze electrical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
  • Use high level programming language to configure programmable logic devices
  • Analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests and evaluate results
  • Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability
  • Identify component operational characteristics that may impact system performance and/or sustainability
  • Contribute to proposals and estimates of budget and schedule to meet program objectives
