Requirements

The candidate must have significant knowledge of the crypto industry and be considered crypto native, with at least 4 years of hands-on experience in data modeling, schema design, data operations, and data warehousing. Proven experience building backend systems at scale for data processing and ingestion is required, along with strong expertise in Typescript, Go, and/or Python, and SQL (Postgres, dbt, Hypertables). Deep experience creating data warehouses using Timescale, Snowflake, and/or BigQuery, and familiarity with DevOps tools like Docker, CI/CD, and AWS are also necessary. Experience in crypto, web3, startup, or incubator environments, and a background in designing, building, and managing microservices, especially with expertise in security, privacy, and scalability, are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Engineer will lead the creation and execution of data models and strategies, design, develop, implement, and evolve data pipelines, and own data sourcing pipelines by architecting data warehousing, ingestion, and sourcing strategies. Responsibilities include designing and implementing ETL solutions, accessing and setting up blockchain nodes, sourcing data from third parties, and modeling internal schemas. The role involves providing technical leadership and guidance to the team, driving operational efficiency by improving data workflows and automating tasks, and collaborating cross-functionally with Research, Product, and Engineering teams on initiatives. Leading Solana data-related projects and strategies is also a key responsibility.
