Candidates should possess extensive knowledge and experience in building, testing, monitoring, and maintaining large-scale parallel applications and databases, with a strong understanding of C and C++ in Linux. They should also have an understanding of assembly code, compiler output, system calls, x64 hardware, and storage structures, along with the ability to work with debuggers and profilers and operate using version control systems.
As a Senior C/C++ Low Latency Engineer at d-Matrix, the focus will be on developing code that facilitates automated trades on various exchanges worldwide, optimizing data processing pipelines, implementing low-latency networking code, designing context-switch-free code, creating custom data storage structures, developing complex trading logic, and re-implementing existing code using advanced CPU features. The role also involves building and maintaining the global (hardware) infrastructure, participating in data logging pipelines, and maneuvering between code optimization and maintainability efforts while preserving low-latency performance.
