Requirements

Candidates must have over 5 years of experience developing distributed systems, microservices, and REST APIs, with proficiency in Golang and experience integrating with third-party applications. Experience with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines is required, along with a willingness to mentor junior team members. Bonus points for experience with Python, Docker, feature flags, and BDD.

Responsibilities

The Senior Backend Software Engineer will implement features, provide guidance on organization, process, and design, and collaborate with architects, UX, and DevOps to ensure system availability, scalability, and performance. Responsibilities include instrumenting Go services for observability, creating actionable monitoring and alerts, building automated tests, learning and working with cryptography and security concepts, using OAuth/OIDC flows, integrating identity into cloud services, working with third-party applications, and participating in roadmap planning for Identity Management services. Engineers are also expected to participate in on-call shifts.
