Responsibilities

The Senior Backend Engineer will lead the development of major team-scoped projects and participate in cross-team initiatives. They will actively contribute to product work by providing feedback, suggesting solutions, and proposing product improvements based on technical insights. Responsibilities also include maintaining a strong understanding of the team's domain, providing feedback on code reviews, contributing to the shared codebase, debugging and solving technical and business issues, and participating in non-team activities such as support rotations and hiring. Additionally, the role involves mentoring other engineers, investigating and implementing platform improvements, and designing and implementing APIs with performance, scalability, and maintainability in mind.
