Requirements
- MTech/BE/B.Tech in Civil/Structural Engineering from accredited Engineering Institute
- 6-8 years of Oil and Gas/Power Plant experience (minimum 10 years preferred in engineering/design execution)
- Significant demonstrated results leading Structural design efforts for industrial gas turbine packaging, gas compression, power generation projects, and BOP systems
- Knowledge of discipline-related industry standards (ASCE 7, IBC, AISC, OSHA) and experience with standards application in engineering specifications and vendor documentation
- Comprehensive familiarity with CAD software for Structural design and broad knowledge of design/drafting techniques (framing drawings, foundation drawings, details)
- Experience with 3D Design Tools: Advance Steel, Revit, Tekla, STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, E3D
- Preferred competencies: Definition drawings, 3D Modelling, Smart attributes, Structure drawings (Details, Plan & Elevation, layouts, Foundation), MTOs/BOMs, NWD models, Clash checks, Vendor Drawing Review
Responsibilities
- Engineering & Design of Solar Turbine’s Construction Services’ Products for Oil & Gas Projects (e.g., Gas Compression stations)
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining Structural design within the Oil & Gas industry
- Participate as member of cross-functional team in FEED, Detail engineering, Procurement, inhouse Fabrication, and Commissioning to achieve performance metrics
- Structural Member design, Connection design, Foundation Design, Pipe Rack design, Loading and load assessment
- Design and optimization of Pipe rack and Cable tray Support structure, Platforms, Ladders, Handrails, Roof Design
- Structural Member optimization and Structural Analysis using STAAD Pro
- 3D Modelling using Autodesk Advance Steel, Revit
- 3D Model Review, Clash Check and Resolution
- 2D Drawing Generation, generation of Definition Drawings, Foundation drawings
- Preparation of MTO, BOM from Structural 3D Models
- Preparation of Technical Specification for Structural Components, RFQ finalization & Vendor Drawings review
- Stay flexible and quick to learn global developments in EPC-Oil & Gas projects technologies and adopt
- Continuous improvement of design activity in terms of technical knowledge, efficiency, quality, and productivity
- Provide virtual technical support for shop floor for engineered orders & commissioning support
