Requirements

6+ years of relevant working experience on complex Android-based products, with at least 2+ years in a Senior role
Strongly proficient in Kotlin
Technical experience with architecture patterns like MVP, MVVM, MVI, Clean architecture or other scalable architectures
Technical experience with building and shipping modular Android libraries and SDKs and decorated APIs
Solid experience building complex UI with XML-based layouts and Jetpack Compose
Solid understanding of multithreading and structured concurrency with Kotlin Coroutines and Flow
Technical experience with unit testing, UI testing, snapshot testing and debugging tools like Layout Inspector, Android Profiler and ADB
Technical experience with SDLC processes and CI/CD automation, strong knowledge of Gradle, familiar with Github Actions or Bitrise, and deployment tools
Technical experience with Gradle plugins development
Strong sense of ownership
Result-oriented engineer familiar with Agile software development practices and methodologies
Hands-on technical experience with non-functional features such as security, performance and accessibility
Strong communication, coaching and leadership skills and ability to thrive in a complex domain
Accustomed to translating high-level business requirements into technical designs and coaching peers to do the same
Understand the value of proper documentation, automation and other aspects of a modern software development lifecycle

Responsibilities

Help design, build and maintain one or more capabilities for the Backbase Mobile Platform
Be part of a multidisciplinary squad responsible for delivering end-to-end solutions, from initial concept to fruition in production-ready applications
Address complex business requirements and translate them into technical designs and implementations
Deliver high-quality, well-engineered software that is performant, clean and easy to maintain
Contribute to all aspects of product development, including gathering feedback & requirements, implementing functionality, writing tests, documentation and providing product adoption support to colleagues, customers and partners
Drive the development of the product
Follow and improve the way of working
Enforce and refine best practices
Contribute to creating a strong engineering culture
Help create the best banking experience for customers
