Responsibilities

  • Review general ledger to ensure accuracy of P&L and balance sheet; recommend adjustments as needed
  • Research and explain forecast and budget variances for monthly P&L leadership reviews
  • Prepare and distribute monthly actuals reporting to key stakeholders across the business unit
  • Partner with accounting and finance teams across Comcast to streamline recurring processes and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Assist with annual budget planning and monthly forecasting for assigned departments
  • Review projects and contracts to determine proper accounting treatment
  • Research contracts and regulations to calculate payments to regulatory authorities accurately
  • Ensure balance sheets are accurately stated and reconciled to the general ledger; investigate variances and recommend adjustments
  • Enter monthly journal entries with appropriate backup documentation
  • Analyze financial statements for operating trends and variances to forecast, budget, prior month, and prior year
  • Prepare financial reports and analyze data for management review
  • Research complex accounting data to support new policy implementation
  • Develop automated Oracle routines such as mass allocations and recurring journal entries
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize accounting processes
  • Serve as the primary Accounting Operations business partner for Comcast Business stakeholders
  • Prepare monthly accruals for assigned departments
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
