Requirements

  • A./B.S. in Accounting or Finance required
  • 3-6 years of experience required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of public accounting experience preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong financial reporting and accounting skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities, organized with attention to detail
  • Organized and efficient. Motivated self-starter that is comfortable working in unstructured environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documents as part of the corporate monthly financial close
  • Prepare and review lease accounting activities, including maintaining lease schedules, ensuring appropriate classification and treatment, and completing related journal entries and reconciliations
  • Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions and related activities
  • Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Work with different accounting teams to understand transactions and events each period
  • Compile monthly financial reporting and analysis as it relates to company performance and results
  • Prepare analytical reviews at the end of each month-end and quarter-end to assist in the review procedure
  • Continuously assess and enhance existing accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy in the accounting records
  • Develop and implement procedures to support operational improvements and strengthen financial reporting practices
  • Maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting by ensuring proper documentation, review procedures, and compliance with company policies
