Requirements

Candidates should have over 7 years of hands-on red team experience or equivalent expertise, deep knowledge of offensive security operations within modern tech companies, and proven experience in performing security assessments in cloud environments, preferably Azure. Mastery in assessing complex technology stacks, including Kubernetes, container environments, CI/CD pipelines, and various operating systems is essential. Candidates must also possess exceptional code review skills, strong understanding of risk assessment, excellent coding abilities for automation, and the capability to communicate complex concepts effectively. A track record of contributing to solutions in complex codebases and an active U.S. Government Security Clearance or willingness to obtain one are also desired.

Responsibilities

The Security Engineer will conduct open-scope red and purple team operations, simulating realistic attack scenarios, and collaborate with defensive teams to enhance detection and response capabilities. They will perform comprehensive penetration testing on OpenAI's products, leverage automation and advanced technologies to optimize security work, and present actionable findings to inspire change. Additionally, they will influence security strategy by providing insights into risk and threat modeling.
