Requirements

  • Minimum 2 year(s) of experience (0–3 years in cybersecurity or IT operations)
  • 15 years full time education
  • Must have skills: Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
  • Basic understanding of SIEM concepts and QRadar architecture
  • Familiarity with log formats (Windows, Linux, Firewall, IDS/IPS)
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common attack vectors
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Willingness to work in 24x7 rotational shifts
  • Good to have: Exposure to incident response workflows, Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy), Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash) for log parsing or automation

Responsibilities

  • Define the cloud security framework and architecture, ensuring it meets the business requirements and performance goals
  • Document the implementation of the cloud security controls and transition to cloud security-managed operations
  • Monitor security alerts and events in QRadar SIEM console
  • Perform initial triage of incidents based on severity and impact
  • Escalate validated incidents to L2/L3 teams with detailed documentation
  • Track and follow up on incident status and resolution
  • Maintain incident logs and update ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • Support daily health checks of QRadar components and log sources
  • Assist in tuning false positives and rule optimization under guidance
  • Participate in shift handovers and maintain shift reports
