Requirements

Candidates should possess at least six years of experience in software engineering, with a transition into testing and automation, and strong coding proficiency in either Python or Java. They should have expertise in automation testing for REST APIs, prior software development experience is a plus, and familiarity with performance testing frameworks like Gatling or wrk2, as well as CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions is desired. Experience with containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and Nomad, and cloud platforms like AWS with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation is also required. Exposure to event-driven architectures and messaging systems like Kafka is beneficial, along with experience using observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana and Kibana.

Responsibilities

The SDET III (Backend & API Test Engineer) will develop automated tests and test frameworks to enhance software quality, conduct functional and non-functional testing including performance, security, resiliency, and chaos testing, optimize and improve CI/CD pipelines for faster deployments, identify and implement quality processes to enhance engineering efficiency, automate various aspects of the software development lifecycle, review code and designs, and provide constructive feedback for improvement. They will also continuously upskill and mentor team members to drive growth and excellence.
