Requirements

Candidates must be a licensed clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a valid state license or certificate to work in a K12 school. A minimum of 1 year of full-time, on-site school social work experience is required, excluding internships. Proficiency in the National SSW Practice Model domains and expertise in MTSS frameworks, counseling, and evaluations are essential. Strong communication skills for diverse student populations and tech-savviness with telehealth experience are necessary. A private workspace with reliable internet and a computer, webcam is also required. Availability for a minimum of 15 hours per week during traditional school hours (8:00 am-3:00 pm, Monday-Friday) is ideal. Fluency in additional languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

Deliver direct and indirect social work services to children and collaborate with the clinical team to create tailored treatment or IEPs with social work-specific goals. Provide insights to staff on cultural, familial, and societal factors affecting student behavior, and develop positive behavioral intervention strategies. Conduct mental health assessments, facilitate parental support, and assist with school adjustment. Train staff, aid with behavior management, and offer direct support as needed.
