Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in ABAP development within SAP NetWeaver environments
- Strong command of ABAP Objects and modular programming
- Experience with SAP modules such as SD, MM, FI/CO, HCM, or PP is a plus
- Knowledge of SAP enhancement framework and extensibility options
- Familiarity with OData services and Fiori integration is desirable
- Understanding of SAP UI5, CDS views, and HANA development concepts is a plus
- Excellent debugging and performance tuning skills
- Proficiency with ABAP Workbench (SE80), ADT/Eclipse, SAP GUI, SE38, SE24, SE93, SE11
- Exposure to transport management (CTS), version control tools (e.g., Git), and agile methodologies is advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF)
- Develop and optimize ABAP code for performance and maintainability
- Use various ABAP programming techniques including ALV, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements, and IDocs
- Implement SAPScript, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and workflow solutions
- Leverage SAP NetWeaver technologies to build robust business applications
- Support system upgrades, migrations, and patching activities with technical impact analysis and custom code adjustments
- Integrate SAP systems with external applications via RFC, BAPI, Web Services, and OData
- Work with modern development tools such as Eclipse with ABAP Development Tools (ADT)
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications in collaboration with functional consultants
- Participate in design reviews, peer code reviews, and unit testing
- Ensure adherence to development standards, naming conventions, and best practices
- Troubleshoot and debug existing solutions and support incident resolution
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and user manuals for developed solutions
- Provide post-deployment support, technical guidance, and bug fixes
- Assist in system integration testing and user acceptance testing
