Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, engineering or related field preferred
  • 5 or more years of related working experience in SAP Support environment and/or SAP project implementation in the areas of logistics
  • Keep abreast with SAP technology advancements and developments and have the ability to understand and utilise new technology
  • Knowledge in the areas of SAP (SD, MM, PM, PP and WM)
  • Knowledge in IS-Automotive (VMS and Warranty) will be an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Manage, implement and strategize the design, development and implementation of SAP Logistics, including Material Management (MM), Plant Maintenance (PM), Production Planning (PP), Sales & Distribution (SD) and Warehouse Management (WM) enhancement framework, covering functionalities, integrated solutions, capabilities and security
  • Identify areas of improvements and propose improvement plans to customers
  • Provide solutions to medium to complex requirements
  • Provide guidance and coaching to subordinates to enable them to manage day-to-day operations
  • Manage and coordinate resolutions of change requests and/or projects involving system enhancements and training requests
  • Manage mid-level management clients, company management and project team expectations for agreed project performance by obtaining and providing project metrics; recommend and implement changes or alternate paths based on performance and metrics
  • Develop and make presentations that could lead to expanded business opportunities; participate in proposal efforts and sales calls
  • Oversee assigned personnel for projects/operations; assign work and provide direction on timeliness and completion of project/incidents and change requests objectives; address performance issues
  • Support the transition team in capturing technical knowledge, ensure site operation teams are trained, perform job shadowing and go-live preparations
  • Be a self-starter and independent in managing assigned tasks; proactive in proposing improvements to simplify processes
  • Review information, incidents, problems and analysis from Service Desk; perform additional analysis and resolve incidents/problems; escalate as necessary while retaining ownership; notify users of resolutions
  • Seek opportunities, develop and maintain knowledge of business processes, SAP applications functionality and configuration; be receptive to performance and developmental feedback
  • Deliver SAP Functional support within agreed service levels and budgetary guidelines in the Service Level Agreement
  • Adhere to GSC IT support procedures, policies and guidelines
  • Implement operational continuous improvement, service efficiency initiatives, functions improvement and rationalization
  • Help with regular reviews and analysis of Problem Management data to highlight causes of frequent or high impact failures and suggest preventative action
  • Enter SAP application solutions into the knowledge database
  • Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for effectiveness and quality of services
