Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or 5+ years of professional experience required (sales or clinical preferred)
  • Excellent time management, project management, experience with reports and budget, and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of marketing, market research, new product development, new product introduction, P/L management, and field testing
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of residence and a good driving record
  • Ability to move, set up, and demonstrate products weighing up to 50 pounds; reach, push, or pull
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, sit, stand, or crawl for prolonged periods
  • Coordination of eye, hand, and foot movement; ability to grasp by hand; meet cognitive demands including visual/auditory discrimination, memory, reading, and retention
  • Ability to handle materials including durcot fabric, nylon fabric, Velcro, zippers, rubber, metals, and coated products
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills relating to stress management, people management, and conflict management
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independence when applying professional expertise
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to present to large groups
  • Ability to manage time, bring tasks to completion with minimal supervision, prioritize work, and keep detailed/confidential records

Responsibilities

  • Drive the sale of innovative products designed to address preventable never-events, maximizing efficiency and profitability for healthcare facilities
  • Achieve assigned quota by building and maintaining working relationships with key influencers in accounts, distributor contacts, and end-users to defend base of business
  • Become the resident Sage expert by gaining knowledge of own products and competitors’ offerings to build credibility with clinical specialists, nurses, educators, and administrators
  • Focus on customer satisfaction through teamwork, empowerment, consultative problem-solving, honesty, integrity, and highly responsive customer service
  • Drive protocol and process improvement by partnering with customers to enhance outcomes and deliver clinical and financial improvements
  • Establish yourself as a consultant to customers by bringing high-level clinical knowledge and overall healthcare insights
  • Solve real problems to make healthcare better for customers and patients
