Candidates should possess 5+ years of engineering experience, preferably with strong backend development expertise in languages such as Go, Rust, Java, or Erlang. They should have hands-on experience with basic cryptographic primitives like digital signatures and encryption, and a foundational understanding of distributed systems and consensus algorithms. Furthermore, experience with or interest in Go or Rust, along with familiarity with existing blockchain system internals, is welcomed.
The Rust Engineer will be responsible for development activities including proposing architectural decisions, participating in designs, design review, code review, and implementation. They will identify and implement solutions to complex problems within the blockchain protocol, work closely with operations and infrastructure to build high-scale backend services, manage documentation of all code and functionalities, and collaborate with DevOps and ecosystem engineers to improve the tech stack. Additionally, they will analyze and solve difficult problems across the blockchain protocol and manage documentation of all implemented code and functionalities.
