Requirements
Candidates should possess 5+ years of engineering experience, preferably with strong backend development expertise in languages such as Go, Rust, Java, or Erlang. They should have hands-on experience with basic cryptographic primitives like digital signatures and encryption, along with a foundational understanding of distributed systems and consensus algorithms. Furthermore, experience with or interest in Go or Rust, and familiarity with existing blockchain system internals is welcomed.
Responsibilities
The Rust Engineer will be responsible for development activities including designing components, conducting code reviews, and implementing solutions to complex problems within the blockchain protocol. They will also identify and address issues, analyze and solve difficult problems, collaborate with operations and infrastructure to build scalable services, manage code documentation, and work closely with DevOps and ecosystem engineers to improve the tech stack. Additionally, they will be involved in proposing architectural decisions and participating in design reviews, while also embracing better ideas from others and proactively seeking opportunities for growth and innovation.
