Position Overview

The Respiratory Scientific Advisor plays an important role in the Science department, focusing on Respiratory Medicine. This position serves as a key scientific resource for clinical trials, assessing and optimizing data quality emerging from Clario respiratory solutions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry standards. This role involves collaboration across all company levels and with external stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as the internal subject matter expert, providing insights, training, and mentorship to staff and consultants on respiratory measures and endpoints.
  • Serve as a cross-functional resource, providing expertise to members of the OverRead department in interpretation and analysis/assessment of complex pulmonary function as required.
  • Contribute to cross-business scientific discussions and address complex respiratory scientific issues.
  • Support client interactions, including bid defense and regulatory meetings, offering expert insights.
  • Contribute to clinical trial design and optimization, ensuring alignment with Clario’s respiratory solutions.
  • Contribute expert insight into product development decisions and process improvements in Respiratory Medicine.
  • Represent Clario at scientific and industry meetings, enhancing the company’s thought leadership position.

Work Conditions

  • Traveling up to approximately 20% of the time.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support and enhance Respiratory Science initiatives directed at clinical trial data quality, plausibility, and integrity.
  • Develop and present scientific instruments of thought leadership (including, but not limited to, e.g., scientific abstracts, posters, white papers, and other publications).
  • Attend and support Clario activities at respiratory conferences and investigator’s meetings.

Qualifications and Skills Needed

Education

  • MS preferred, Bachelor’s degree required. Exceptional candidates with specialized experience not meeting these parameters may be considered.
  • Minimum of five years in the academic clinical or industry/pharmaceutical setting, with a focus on management and scientific expertise.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in drug development preferred.

Experience and Skills

  • Experience in conduct of clinical trials & drug development cycle.
  • Experience in the clinical trial technology product life cycle and Clario enterprise technologies and services.
  • Business driven and business growth savvy.
  • Polished presenter with considerable experience in pre and post-sales environments with clinical trial technology.
  • Comfortable and fearless learning new roles, versatile, fast learner.
  • Team leader & team player.
  • Interactive across the enterprise, comfortable with technology platform and science bridging Clario technology and services to the clinical trial needs of our clients.
  • Skilled in the sales and delivery of scientific support for Clario technology and services.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to understand and communicate with representatives from the range of disciplines within biopharmaceutical development.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, and balance workload and timelines; Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
