Candidates should be PhD candidates or master/undergraduate students with a strong research background and demonstrated interest in advancing large language model (LLM) based agents and environments.
You will work with world-class AI researchers and talented software engineers on team-based research focused on advancing open agentic LLMs, exploring data synthesis, training objectives, and agentic behavior in a mission-driven environment.
Strong candidates are passionate early-career researchers, such as PhD candidates or master/undergraduate students, with a demonstrated interest in advancing LLM-based agents; apply by December 15, 2025 for Spring/Summer 2026 consideration.
Advances AI through research and engineering
The Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI2) focuses on advancing artificial intelligence through research and engineering. It develops technologies that improve machine reasoning, common sense for AI, and language modeling.
