Requirements

Excellent programming and software engineering skills, especially in Python, Julia, C++, ML-family languages
Demonstrated ability to drive software projects from start to finish (e.g., open-source projects, technical reports, publications)
Comfortable digesting research from PL and/or ML venues (e.g., PLDI, POPL, NeurIPS, ICML)
Ability to progress with a high degree of autonomy and under uncertainty
Enthusiastic about solving real-world problems and making a positive societal impact
Demonstrated significant technical achievements within ML engineering (e.g., implementing variants of newly published techniques from scratch, building systems/workflows for training large models distributed across machines, building systems spanning all levels of the programming stack)
