Requirements

  • Excellent programming and software engineering skills, especially in Python, Julia, C++, ML-family languages
  • Demonstrated ability to drive software projects from start to finish (e.g., open-source projects, technical reports, publications)
  • Comfortable digesting research from PL and/or ML venues (e.g., PLDI, POPL, NeurIPS, ICML)
  • Ability to progress with a high degree of autonomy and under uncertainty
  • Enthusiastic about solving real-world problems and making a positive societal impact
  • Demonstrated significant technical achievements within ML engineering (e.g., implementing variants of newly published techniques from scratch, building systems/workflows for training large models distributed across machines, building systems spanning all levels of the programming stack)

  • (Advantageous) Experience in multimodal data infrastructure
