Location/Division Specific Information

Evidera’s Patient-Centered Research (PCR) group combines a unique portfolio of scientific fields, including health sciences, psychometrics, epidemiology, psychology, and others. Our work has helped identify and clarify unmet clinical needs, assess burden of illness and evaluate patient outcomes, preference and/or adherence, while supporting promotional and labeling claims on a global scale.

The Research Associate I provides scientific support for discrete tasks. May independently manage some project-related tasks.


A Day in the Life:

  • Assists with preparing proposals, protocols, and reports by conducting internet and literature searches.
  • Conducts literature reviews by abstracting data from scientific articles.
  • Conducts and may coordinate site activities, including: recruitment, contracting and IRB submissions, site management and training.
  • Conducts and assists with data collection and data management, including conducting one-on-one cognitive interviews, co-moderating focus groups; compiles data collection tools, performing data entry and review.
  • Provides help with data analysis, including preparing qualitative code book, performing and coordinating coding, and reviewing quantitative data tables.
  • Perform efficient delegation and communication within/outside of project team, and communicate regularly with senior project team members (i.e. principal investigator) about project tasks.
  • Assist with financial management of project.
  • No proposal writing requirement of this position, although individuals may choose to work on sections of selected proposals.

Keys to Success: Education and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in a scientific field and at least one year of experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific field and at least two years of experience in healthcare research.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience with Atlas.ti; Access data entry; InFormU; EndNote; PubMed/embase; DataFax is required for this position.
