Requirements

High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred (candidates without must pass pre-employment assessment)
Ability to read and comprehend American English
Ability to read, interpret, and understand customer drawings, mylars, and sketches
Develop good working knowledge of all internal procedures and customer requirements
Develop good working knowledge of processes performed in the chemical processing area
Good communication skills when dealing with inspection personnel, on-floor operators, and customer service representatives
Flexible and self-driven
Become proficient in using calibrated measuring equipment and Work Order Tracking System

Responsibilities

Perform inspection functions of detail parts at various stages of production to validate processes and ensure compliance with Sonaca North America Quality System under close supervision
Read and interpret customer instructions, blueprints, charts, and other statistical information
Prepare parts and documentation for outside criteria
Participate in work center and other problem-solving teams as requested
Assist production personnel in establishing and documenting inspection criteria
Complete all required inspection documentation and communicate with customers as needed
Enter data into the Work Order Tracking System, including notes and recording data on the work order
Document Nonconforming Material per Quality System Requirements
Assist in identifying parts deficiencies and help prevent further recurrences
Determine whether the product is acceptable or unacceptable according to work order and customer requirements
Responsibly handle “stop the job” authority at any stage of process
Perform sampling inspection
Maintain good housekeeping in inspection areas
Handle customer-supplied product with care
Verify the job by matching actual parts with work order, part number(s), printed/electronic pictures, and part count
Maintain Sonaca North America’s quality standards to meet and exceed customer expectations
Access all applicable Prime customer specification requirements on SharePoint site
Manage time effectively to meet production, quality, and delivery schedules
Interact professionally with co-workers and vendors, understand internal customers, and maintain good relations
Follow all safety requirements and enforce compliance
Work overtime when required (including weekends) on short notice
Perform other duties as assigned by the Inspection Lead
Respond quickly to inquiries and follow up as needed
Embrace change to ensure overall success of the company
