Productive within a month of joining, where the team is aware of the individual, includes them for more work, unearths good defects, and asks the right questions
Effective collaborator who speaks clearly and succinctly in standups and clearly indicates updates

Responsibilities

Closely work with the product team to understand functionality being developed and write automation tests to ensure it meets acceptance criteria
Run automated scripts associated with each product team and tweak scripts where necessary
Evaluate continuous improvement by identifying ineffective automated tests and working with the team to update them for rapid delivery patterns
Understand customer use cases and usage models in production to incorporate appropriate automated tests in the release pipeline
Automate and test product features with great attention to detail to provide high-quality deliverables meeting user expectations
Test the product for stability and security before rollout to production
Use understanding to ask appropriate questions and strengthen the design
Apply shift-left mindset to provide early feedback to developers to improve deliverable quality
Provide automation solutions for varying requirements from testing code to deployments
Provide solutions to enhance and maintain the test automation framework for scale and growth
Attend daily team standups and sprint ceremonies
Provide periodic updates
Evaluate build quality by examining test results from build acceptance tests in continuously deployed environments multiple times a day
Raise defects found during evaluation and work with development teams to resolve them
Add, maintain, and update scripts in the existing automation suite
Help existing automation engineers/SDETs by taking up some of their work as required
Support other team resources based on skillset
Improve extent of automation by evaluating opportunities from testing code to continuous deployment
Strengthen test framework and reusable libraries based on skillset
Participate in production deployments by executing automation suite, sharing findings, and informing team of issues
Continuously learn the system through hands-on testing
Use critical thought to identify gaps or defects
Use communication and curiosity to provide trusted, valuable feedback
