Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
Extensive analytical experience in a related environment
Excellent working knowledge of scientific principles
Good knowledge of basic analytical techniques, Pharmacopeia testing, UPLC, and ICPMS
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and interact effectively with all levels of the company
Ability to collaborate with internal and external development team members

Responsibilities

Carry out finished goods and raw material sampling and testing within an ISO accredited laboratory environment
Perform Pharmacopeia testing, UPLC, and ICPMS testing
Assure compliance to in-house and external specifications and standards
Lead data collection, trend analysis, investigation, and improvements processes
Manage lab schedule and direct staff to required tasks for completion and verify output
Coordinate tech transfer assays, required validations, and associated training
Perform troubleshooting and equipment maintenance to resolve complex issues on UPLC, ICPMS, and other analyses/tasks, supporting the team
Execute routine equipment and assay validations
Project manage introduction of new assets within the department
Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to new team members
Perform improvements within at least one of the QC sub-teams
Act as QC representative for RCCM sessions and advise on required QC testing/support to resolve issues
Attend customer calls and provide technical guidance
Perform audit tours of the areas worked in
Lead department programs (e.g., stability, Environmental Monitoring, Raw material 3 batch testing)
Cross-train team members and coach/mentor junior team members
Review and approve new product creation and changes to specifications
Perform raw material sampling, involving movement of boxes and pallets
Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned
