Responsibilities

Attend patients at assigned locations, including multiple locations, levels of care, and virtual environments
Conduct medication management sessions
Perform psychiatric evaluations and assessments
Create patient treatment plans and manage updates
Provide patient and family education
Participate in team and unit meetings
Create discharge plans
Collaborate with nurse practitioners and physician assistants
Provide oversight of medical residents and fellows
Complete all charting and documentation within 24 hours
Serve as attending physician for assigned units
Round on patients as required
Complete emergency detentions of patients as needed
Provide medication education to nursing staff
Participate in in-service treatment team training
Meet patient productivity standards
Complete coding and documentation standards
Attend Medical Staff meetings and the Medical Staff Executive Committee meeting
Support patient admissions
Participate in protocol development
Participate in quality assurance
Participate in peer review evaluations
