Requirements

4 Year Engineering Degree preferred, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
4+ years of hands-on plastic process engineering experience
RJG Training: A plus
Understanding of process setup and molding equipment, including robotics, injection machines, molds, heat control systems, etc
Knowledge of analysis tools such as Six Sigma, Control Charting, Root Cause Analysis, Fishbone Analysis, Pareto Analysis, and SPC (Statistical Process Control)

Responsibilities

Work safely in a manufacturing environment, adhering to all plant safety procedures
Inspect, sample, and modify new tooling to create a stable process ready for manufacturing
Assist the Engineering team in the process of turning over new projects to manufacturing
Implement continuous improvement projects on the production floor related to process and part quality/efficiency, with a focus on ROI (Return on Investment)
Assist the production floor in daily operations, including mold troubleshooting, repairs, PM (Preventive Maintenance), and refurbishments
Communicate with internal and external customers in a professional manner
Implement visual controls and standard work in the department
Work with the plant and management to improve safety initiatives
Willingness to work extended hours, including potential extended travel away from home, and domestic/international travel may be required
