Requirements

  • Must have Honeywell experience (e.g., Experion, TDC 2000/3000, C300, UPC controllers)
  • Experience with Basic Process Control Systems (BPCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), third-party PLCs, and associated devices
  • Knowledge of fiber communication cabling, patch panels, switches, and network infrastructure (e.g., LCN, UCN/HWY, NCF)
  • Ability to support standardization and migration of legacy refinery control systems, instrumentation, and controls for fired and rotating equipment
  • Availability for 9/80 schedule, after-hours calls (several times a month), and support for construction and TAR (1-2 times a year)
  • Core hours availability (8 AM - 3 PM)

Responsibilities

  • Define scope for migrating obsolescence legacy BPCS systems, providing guidance on infrastructure needs (consoles, servers, switches, fiber, routing, etc.)
  • Determine necessary hardware and infrastructure (e.g., C300, UPC controllers) to support project I/O needs
  • Support Operations Reps to ensure alignment with operational requirements and Lines of Progression
  • Assist with scheduling operator Experion training on new systems
  • Assist with providing assimilation station and equipment for Operator training
  • Help develop Functional Design Spec (FDS) as necessary
  • Review, comment, and approve BlueBeam documents developed by the project team
  • Participate in project meetings (e.g., P&ID reviews, risk registers, VIP workshops, BlueBeam reviews)
  • Participate in HFATs, CFATs, SATs, and job-walks as required
  • Participate in Alarm Rationalization reviews
  • Support engineering and integration contractors by providing information, gathering/capturing existing databases (including legacy platforms), and reverse engineering processes
  • Develop or provide standards, guidelines, and specs for controls, databases, HMI displays, and hardware installation
  • Support project by defining and designing new systems, including CM control strategies, modifying databases, configuring Experion History assignments, Display groups, HMI Displays, STB files, STN files, Safeview, Menu Navigation, etc
  • Define requirements for LCN network configuration file changes (NCF) and support execution
  • Define requirements and perform modifications to legacy databases (e.g., Network infrastructure like UCN/HWY) during migrations
  • Develop Console Cutover Strategy Plan (swim lanes, step-by-step procedures) and necessary changes to existing LCN Consoles
  • Support and perform Experion EMDB modifications (modifying, deleting, or adding assets)
