Requirements

Candidates should possess 5+ years of experience building and deploying enterprise software systems, with 5+ years in a technical consulting or professional services capacity, demonstrating proficiency in enterprise Java or comparable development languages, a strong background in NoSQL or distributed database technologies, and solid understanding of distributed systems concepts, high availability, and data consistency models. Furthermore, candidates must be proficient with Linux-based systems and command-line tooling, and exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset, alongside proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

As a Professional Services Engineer, the individual will act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers during post-sales engagement, leading customer onboarding efforts including training, deployment planning, and production readiness, delivering architecture guidance, capacity planning, and data modeling tailored to customer needs, creating and maintaining technical artifacts such as runbooks, deployment documentation, and operational playbooks, providing consultative support during the adoption and growth phases, identifying opportunities to expand Aerospike usage, and collaborating with internal teams to refine service delivery processes and support strategic account planning. The role also requires travel to customer sites as needed.
