Requirements
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, hold a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license for Illinois, and prefer experience with boundary, topographic, and ALTA surveys, construction staking, and data collection. Familiarity with robotic total stations and GNSS receivers, as well as AutoCAD Civil 3D, is also preferred. A clean driving record, with no more than 3 accidents and/or moving violations in the last 36 months, or 2 accidents and/or moving violations within the last 12 months, is required, along with the ability to work effectively in both team environments and field environments.
Responsibilities
The Professional Land Surveyor will meet with clients to determine their survey needs, oversee boundary and topographic surveys in the field and office, establish project expectations, calculate survey data, oversee and participate in the preparation of computer-generated maps and reports, maintain accurate records and documentation, prepare budgets, proposals, and technical reports, and review and certify work when complete.
