Requirements

  • LLB (or equivalent) from an accredited law school; an LLM is a plus
  • Authorized and licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
  • Unrestricted work authorization in your jurisdiction
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally
  • At least 5 years post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years in an in-house corporate environment
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Proficiency in additional languages such as French, Spanish, Dutch, or German is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills: demonstrated ability to understand complex legal concepts; think strategically and create trusted relationships with key stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Provide pragmatic, solution-oriented legal advice to product and engineering teams focusing on IDV, biometrics, fraud, AI, and platform services along with the rest of Entrust’s product portfolio
  • Advise on product launches and iterations from discovery through deployment, ensuring alignment with privacy, AML/KYC, eID, consumer protection, and platform liability laws
  • Translate regulatory and legal requirements into actionable advice for global product and engineering teams
  • Review and negotiate product-related agreements, including data sharing terms, commercial integrations, and government contracting components
  • Provide legal support for new market and product entrances across the globe (LATAM, EMEA, APAC) by mapping and tracking jurisdiction-specific requirements
  • Liaise with external counsel and collaborate with internal teams on legal strategy, documentation, and timeline feasibility
  • Partner with privacy, compliance, and commercial legal colleagues on cross-functional initiatives involving AI, biometrics, and regulatory frameworks
  • Contribute to the development of internal policies, governance tools, and scalable legal frameworks
  • Support strategic partner relationships and ensure legal readiness across high-impact go-to-market efforts
  • Deal with complex, significant matters that cut across legal and related areas and identify proactive solutions that will mitigate risks in a practical business manner
