Requirements

Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience building production software and a degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering. Expertise in Java development and debugging is essential, along with excellent knowledge of multi-threading programming. Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL data stores, Hibernate, JPA-related technologies, and rapid iteration development methodologies is required. Strong analytical and communication skills, along with proficiency in spoken and written English, are also necessary. Knowledge of Amazon Web Services and cloud-based code build and deployment processes are preferred.

Responsibilities

The Principal Software Engineer will develop, scale, and extend core infrastructure for extracting and classifying purchase data. They will work on critical aspects of extending high-volume, distributed infrastructure and develop Java-based public web services. Responsibilities include developing clean and robust code, implementing complex algorithms and logic, and contributing to the team's efforts in achieving high availability and extremely low latency for consumer and partner applications.
