Principal Software Engineer

Candidates should possess 15+ years of experience as an engineer leading complex engineering projects, strong knowledge of Go or Node, and deep experience with Kubernetes and Gateways and Authn/z frameworks. They should also have experience working in a distributed systems environment, a proven ability to thrive in a fast-moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment, and a strong technical foundation in software engineering design principles. Experience working with geographically diverse engineering teams is preferred.
As a Principal Software Engineer, the candidate will regularly tackle the largest and most complex problems on the team, serve as a technical leader on cross-functional projects, functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions, contribute to the long-term technical vision and strategic direction of the engineering team, implement AI to empower themselves and others, assist in the career development of others, and balance technical leadership and savvy with strong business judgment to make the right decisions about technology choices. They will also work alongside other Principal Engineers and Architects to drive a shared strategy across our teams, implement AI to empower themselves and others, and participate in on-call shifts.
