Requirements

  • Expert knowledge in system software design and operating system fundamentals
  • Expert knowledge in computer architecture and microprocessor concepts (caches, buses, memory controllers, DMA, etc.)
  • Proven leadership skills and strong ownership demonstrated on past projects involving complex software and hardware designs
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build consensus within a large organization
  • Exceptional C programming and low-level driver experience
  • Expertise in complex system-level debugging, performance analysis, and test design
  • Familiarity with kernel-level security concepts, including threat modeling techniques and static/dynamic analysis tooling
  • Kernel development experience with Linux, Android, Chrome, or Windows systems
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 15+ years of relevant software development experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to transform the core GPU driver into a more complex, organized, and secure design
  • Develop a layered architecture encompassing a Guest VM, Host Kernel Driver, and Firmware
  • Define strategic vision for the core GPU driver in collaboration with adjacent software and hardware architects
