Responsibilities

Deliver key innovation projects from ideation to launch globally, develop robust formulations and finished products that delight consumers and address unmet needs, acting as subject matter experts
Provide technical expertise in formulation and/or analytical science, offering leadership for multiple complex projects in critical specialist areas for future business growth
Operate at the interface of functional disciplines inside and outside NPD, coordinate specialists to design work programmes and participate in their execution for new and existing projects
Lead complex global projects or have overall leadership for multiple projects (2-5) within a single area or across multiple therapeutic areas, across all R&D functions
Manage overall work priorities, ensure team activities align with company standards and regulations, considering scientific, budgetary, and timing objectives
Provide technical leadership in developing and executing technical strategy across multiple therapeutic categories, acting as technical expert supporting NPD and Innovation
Facilitate resolution of complex technical problems
Make wide ranging, independent decisions on projects and technical issues
Act as a liaison to evaluate external technology and develop new technical expertise internally
Stay current with technologies and industry practices, applying relevant information to Haleon Consumer Healthcare
Explore, identify, evaluate, and deliver new technology, materials, or ingredients
Communicate collaboratively and influence staff at all organizational levels, internally and externally
Present findings at conferences, publish papers, author patents
Facilitate and manage internal and external relationships to foster knowledge sharing
Work across scientific disciplines, integrate knowledge from various sources, resolve conflicting data and opinions
Operate on specific assignments (short or long term) professionally and confidentially
Provide technical input and direction from a product development perspective to the Therapeutic Category Team and related functions as the category expert
Think strategically and provide recommendations and decisions with major impact on project plans
