Job Family Definition: Cloud Developer

The Cloud Developer is responsible for building mission-critical applications from the ground up, employing innovative approaches to deliver end-to-end technical solutions for customer problems. This role involves breaking down complex data, engineering new ideas, and implementing cloud-based solutions. Collaboration with project managers and development partners is key to ensuring effective delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of cloud engagements. The Cloud Developer contributes business value expertise to develop innovative service offerings that enhance HPE's Cloud Services portfolio across various systems, platforms, and applications.

Principal Machine Learning Engineer - Tech Lead

To strengthen and expand our AI/ML offerings, we are seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer – Tech Lead. This role is pivotal in designing and developing solutions utilizing AI tools and machine-learning models with significant potential for value and scale within HPE.

As a Principal Machine Learning Engineer – Tech Lead, you will:

• Drive the roadmap and build the next generation Machine Learning Platform.
• Develop Machine Learning Models/Algorithms for our userbase.
• Scale our efforts to implement machine learning across HPE products.
• Work with petabytes of data.
• Write crisp design documentation.
• Build, debug, and maintain highly available distributed systems.
• Empower developers throughout HPE to build better ML products more quickly.
• Be at the forefront of development, research, and implementation of innovative machine learning models and pipelines.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate possesses:

• A strong background in applied machine learning approaches and production-level engineering.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Comfort working with data scientists, product managers, and other engineers.
• A passion for creating machine learning products and understanding the implications of created solutions.
• An advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
• A strong portfolio of ML projects.

• Design and build highly scalable systems.
• Design and build machine learning algorithms and deep learning applications.
• Execute tests and optimize machine learning models and algorithms.
• Mentor and guide other ML Engineers in the team.
