Requirements

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience OR PhD with 3 years relevant experience
Experience with all phases of mixed-signal board design including architecture, circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, PCB layout, and design verification (preferred)
Strong electrical signals and systems fundamentals including frequency domain representations and circuit analysis (preferred)
Experience with OrCAD schematic capture and PCB layout tools (preferred)
Hands-on experience using lab test equipment (e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic and network analyzers) for system integration, debugging and testing (preferred)
Experience designing, testing, and implementing high-voltage systems (~5 kV) (preferred)
Experience in designing and testing medical equipment within a regulated industry and familiarity with 60601-1 safety standard (preferred)
Ability to work in an agile development environment (preferred)
Interest in gaining an understanding of cardiac electrophysiology (preferred)
Interest in new technologies, coupled with the ability to quickly learn and apply new tools and techniques as needed (preferred)
Focus on accuracy and precision in technical tasks, which is crucial for quality and reliability (preferred)

Responsibilities

Contribute to the design, development, and testing of mixed-signal electrical systems and circuits for medical devices, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards (e.g., IEC 60601)
Develop detailed specifications, schematics, and PCB layouts, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to meet design and performance requirements
Ensure reliability, develop technical specifications for design and production, and test hardware conformance to specifications; may include designing new or modifying existing products
Contribute to technical project planning, establish timelines, define deliverables, and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks
