This is an on-site position at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda, MD, and requires U.S. Citizenship with a thorough government background check.
A PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Medical Physics, or related field is required, along with experience in MRI acquisition and/or reconstruction, strong knowledge of MRI Physics, and proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python. U.S. Citizenship is also required.
The role involves working independently on complex technical challenges while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment with strict deadlines at a military medical center.
Strong candidates will have a PhD in a relevant field, required MRI and programming experience, plus preferred qualifications like experience with GE/Siemens MRI platforms, pulse sequence development, clinical MRI systems, and 1-2 years of medical research project management, especially with the Department of Defense.
